In Loudoun County Virginia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains there is a lovely spot along a narrow country road. There is a break in the trees that line the road and you can see over fields to the distant mountains. There is no shoulder or good place to stop along this road to get out and take a photo so each time I drive by I go very slowly and try to commit as much of the scene to memory as I can. This is how it sits in my mind.
